New Photo Student is a Two-Time Winner
Stephanie Stalnaker is the 944 National Winner of the UnScene Tour
Among the new students in the Digital Photography and Video program in Miami this past fall, we had, as usual, students of varying skill levels. Stephanie Stalnaker has already developed the photographers's eye, and had a local and a national award to prove it.
Stephanie, having spent four years steeped in the culture of the magical land known as South Beach, was perfectly positioned to win the local version of the Unscene Tour competition sponsored by 944 Magazine. There were nine winners from nine cities: San Francisco, Dallas, Orange County, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, San Diego and, of course, Miami. Her work, as the most telling representation of her respective city, won Stephanie the National Award.
So why does an obviously accomplished photographer decide to enroll in the Miami Ad School Digital Photography and Video Program? Well, here's Stephanie in her own words:
"I chose Miami Ad School for several reason. I LOVED the energy I felt in the school when I toured it, and I'd only heard great things from everyone about the school. I'm a visual artist by nature, I have a lot of ideas, and have worked in casting the last four years here in Miami. I finished my first quarter here yesterday and the only way I can describe it would be to compare it to your first month home with your first child--it's a huge adjustment, overwhelming, you don't know what you've gotten yourself into, but you love every minute of it at the same time."
Welcome to the fold, Stephanie. We're expecting great things from you!
