Radiohead's Thom Yorke Whips His Hair - A Viral Video Success by Students at London Greenhouse

Miami Ad School students Kaely Coon and Alexis Mercado, current “Bunker” residents at the Iris Greenhouse in London, are getting a taste of viral video success after their response to Radiohead’s new single gained over 26,000 views in 72 hours.

And we can call it now nearly 64,000 with a bullet!

As one of the first to catch on to the Thom Yorke meme, where popular songs are dubbed over the video for “Lotus Flower,” they’ve seen “Thom Yorke Whips His Hair” rise in views by the hour and even get picked up by popular blogs Stereogum and Videogum on Monday.

The students created the video as part of the Urgent Genius Weekender, led by Iris’ Grant Hunter and Jon Burkhart, who will present the favorite content from judges around the world at SXSW in March 2011. Urgent Genius is about “Creating Topical Social Ideas At Speed,” something these Miami Ad Schoolers have just seen firsthand.
