Minneapolis Account Planning Students Learn from Real World Clients

Students Present Campaign for Saturn Astra

This summer, Minneapolis held the Boot Camp for Account Planners where eight aspiring planning students were paired up a Creative team. These teams then had the opportunity to work on many projects throughout the summer quarter. In addition to these intense projects, they also worked on creative for a larger assignment for the Saturn Astra car. At the beginning of the quarter the Saturn client briefed the students in the Account Planning Projects class via the face2face system about their big assignment. On Wednesday, September 10th, Saturn's Marketing Manager, the National Account Director from Deutch LA, and EVP Executive Creative Director from DIGITAS arrived at the school to judge the student team's presentations.

After each presentation, the panel of judges provided each team with valuable and constructive criticism  and feedback on their creative and presentation styles. After a grueling 4 hours of presentations and much deliberation, the panel of judges chose the winning team, made the big announcement to everyone and presented the winning team with their prize. We ended the night with a celebratory toast!
