Miami Ad School’s New York Location Has a Director: Mehera O’Brien

Mehera O’Brien joins Miami Ad School as Director of its new campus, located in Brooklyn’s ‘Digital Dumbo’ neighborhood.

Miami Ad School has named Mehera O’Brien to the post of Director of their New York City location. With over a decade of agency side marketing communication experience in both the U.S. and Europe, Mehera bolsters the school’s creative excellence and digital expertise.

Prior to joining Miami Ad School, Mehera spent five years at AKQA New York. She was part of the management team that opened the office in 2005 where she held a dual leadership role, serving as both Creative Director and Director of User Experience. Before AKQA, Mehera spent five years in the Netherlands with well-known digital agency Framfab, where she got her creative start as an Interaction Designer before later promotion to Creative Director. Prior to Framfab, Mehera worked briefly in a client services capacity for D’Arcy advertising in New York City. Her clients cross industry verticals that reflect both local and global assignments and include The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, Vodafone, Deloitte & Touche, American Eagle, Ann Taylor and Sara Lee. Mehera has won numerous industry awards and serves as an active member & mentor with several industry organizations. Most recently, she joined the Web Committee of the Art Directors Club.

Miami Ad School’s mission is to train the creative thinkers of the future before the future has happened. To engineer pop culture with creative insight and strategic thinking from a global perspective.

“We teach our students to problem solve. They tackle assignments with an open mind, taking in account multiple disciplines and media channels, from traditional to emerging. Mehera’s professional philosophy fits with the school’s mission, and her digital pedigree strengthens our ability to prepare our students for the future,” says Pippa Seichrist, President and Co-Founder of the school.

Miami Ad School has full-time schools throughout the world. The Dumbo campus is currently open as a Quarter Away program for current Miami Ad School students, but is expected to accept full enrollment in the future.

She sure has a very beautiful credential and I was amazed of her qualification. I believe she really deserves to be the Director of the Miami Ad School. I am so excited to see your plans and soon your good accomplishments as you lead the school. Congratulations and good luck on your position.
