Miami Ad School Madrid Students Are YoungGuns of the Month
Miami Ad School Madrid students Javi Iniguez, Alex Katz, and Rui Marini are the YoungGuns of the month for May 2010.
Australia’s YoungGuns Awards has once again selected another Miami Ad School team as May 2010 YoungGuns of the Month. Madrid copywriter Javi Iñiguez de Onzoño, and art directors Alex Katz and Rui Marini were duly recognized as smoking-hot YoungGuns for their innovative IKEA “PAPP” Campaign.
Their honor makes 10 out of 19 months that Miami Ad School students have been so recognized by YoungGuns judges. The contest invites young creatives to submit their best work and current judge, Colin Jeffrey, ECD at David&Goliath, selects the best professional and student pieces each month.
“Student YoungGun of the Month goes to IKEA ‘PAPP.’ This is a simple idea that’s been well executed and presented,” Jeffrey said. “It seems a practical and highly effective way to recycle IKEA packaging. I’m a little skeptical as to whether those cardboard chairs could actually hold someone’s weight, but they look pretty damn cool. I could actually see IKEA buying off on this idea as it reinforces their brand’s passion for design and imagination. Maybe you should approach them.”
Maybe, indeed. Way to go, guys! And congratulations to all the faculty and staff at Miami Ad School Madrid.
