"DOCKERS FREE PANTS", OR HOW GRADS SNAGGED THE TOP TWO SEARCHED KEYWORDS ON GOOGLE RIGHT AFTER THE SUPERBOWL
DOCKERS COMMERCIAL HAD THE MOST IMPACT, SCORING THE TOP SEARCHED TERMS RIGHT AFTER THE BIG GAME
SF alums James Davis and Nicolas Howell's Dockers "We Wear No Pants" spot won one post-Big Game competition, perhaps the one that matters most in these interconnected, digital times. The day after the Super Bowl the top two most searched keywords in Google.com were "Dockers Free Pants" and "dockers.com/freepants". ( Google's hot searches for Feb 7th )
The spot also featured an innovative link-up with Shazam, the interactive music discovery service. Viewers were invited to "tag" the TV spot with their smartphones. Once tagged, the Shazam application gave users a shortcut to get in on the free pants giveaway, and invited them to download the original "I Wear No Pants" track from the Poxy Boggards.
