Miami Ad School students Josh Yeston, Mirelle Majas, and Darren Zavarella were each named finalists in Ad Age’s “Global Cover Contest.” One of the most amazing things about this is the fact that it wasn’t just a student competition; it was a global competition open to anyone, including industry professionals.

There’s a new Brooklyn hotspot open for business: Miami Ad School New York. After a year and seven months, the New York Board of Education has approved Miami Ad School’s New York branch. The school is accepting applications now, with classes set to begin October 3rd.

When Miami Ad School copywriting student Travis Klausmeier got the opportunity to work on a Motorola TV commercial, he had no idea he'd end up starring in his own spot. Here's the story, in Travis' own words...

Most Industry Heroes come into their talk wanting to impart upon the students, bits of wisdom that they might not hear elsewhere. Lauren Buckley, Copywriter at OLSON and MAS Minneapolis graduate, was determined to be nothing, but brutally honest. Having started her career at DraftFCB in Chicago and getting a little bit of dirt under her fingernails in the ad scene there, she's seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly of this industry.

Miami Ad School grads Brittany (AD, San Francisco) and Melissa (CW, Miami) were lucky enough to intern at Mistress Creative during their 7th and 8th quarters. Mistress liked them so much that they stayed on as freelancers after graduation.
